#PUDDLE OF MUDD ALBUM HEAD OVER HEELS MOVIE#
Here's one that I got the idea from the movie No Strings Attached: The Period Playlist: Oh, I like that playlist idea with the same song titles, that's neat, I'm gonna try that. This compilation may seem weird as it's about songs with duplicate titles but different lyrics and melodies:įame - David Bowie Most of his output (either solo efforts or collaborations with other vocalists) have the vocals digitally processed (oversampled, distorted, what have you), but it is still a human voice producing the sounds. *Peter Hollens is a one-man a cappella music-maker. Ordinary People - Six Appeal īonus track: Under Pressure - Jazzappella I'm going to "cover" Jeebus Cripes' idea above and also post a compilation list of cover songs-with an a cappella twist:ĭaft Punk - Pentatonix Waiting for a Star to Fall - Boy Meets Girl It's songs that are traditionally silly, stupid, but I like 'em anyway. Sucky Songs I Like - this was requested from another thread. There were some states that were REALLY hard to find, let me tell you. States - this one took a long time, finding at least one song for each of the 50 United States.Summer - I go to the beach a lot, so this is my playlist for when I'm sitting out there.Weirdly, classical music had too many exciting interludes, it kept waking me up I needed songs with very slow tempos that I could sleep through. Slow and boring - I came up with this one when I was flying back and forth to the UK a lot this winter. If I put new ones in, old ones get booted I only keep 30 songs at a time in this list. Songs about Sex - got the idea for this one from Pitch Perfect.Sometimes it's easy, sometimes I come up with one that's very daunting. So I had the radio replaced with one that had an iPod cord attachment.īut I digress. Which was fine for a while in my mustang but I decided I was putting too many miles on this precious car so I got another one. I just need my car to have an AUX port where I can plug in an iPod. Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2 - Pink Floyd (1979).No Woman, No Cry - Bob Marley and the Wailers (1974).Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin (1971).

In keeping with my rules, here is a sample list:

The compilation list needs to have 10-12 songs (enough for a CD).So here are the rules, if you feel like joining in: I love getting turned on to new-to-me music, and I know I have forgotten more than I remember about in music from the 5+ decades I have been on this earth. Then I thought, what fun it would be to get some sample compilation lists from some of the awesome people at PTV. For example, I need to do about an 11 hour drive tomorrow and I felt now is the time to put together some awesome compilation CD's. I am now the proud owner of a new-to-me car, and gasp, it has a 6 CD changer in it with a BOSE sound system, and I am about to keel over with the possibilities. For the last 15 or so years, I haven't had a vehicle that had a music playing apparatus except for the radio, and sucky ones at that. Or you plug in your ear phones and you have 1000's of mp3's you can listen to via shuffle and repeat and never hear the same song in days. Today, you just type in the search box and up pops a You Tube video. Gone are the days where making compilation tapes were the thing to do. The above is from the movie High Fidelity. For the first time I can sort of see how that is done. Then you got to take it up a notch, but you don't wanna blow your wad, so then you got to cool it off a notch. You gotta kick off with a killer, to grab attention. The making of a great compilation tape, like breaking up, is hard to do and takes ages longer than it might seem.
